Why Bars Aren’t Restaurants

× Culture
Bars are not in th same business as restaurants. Otherwise, they would be called restaurants. Restaurants are in the business of a night out with your friends. In a restaurant there is an assumption that you bring your own people. In a restaurants there are booths/tables which are for groups you bring yourself. In a bar, there must be a bar counter. Which is a long connected table. The assumption is that you can be there to share your table. A bar is in the business of connection.
